Queue-line supervisors, volunteers and security staff
They are the first adults to reach a pilgrim who faints in the heat or falls on a ramp.
The Venkateswara temple at Tirumala is described as drawing more than 60,000 pilgrims on an average day, rising past one lakh at Brahmotsavams and Vaikunta Ekadasi, and about 24 million visitors a year. Behind that flow is a large service network of queue complexes, free meals, lodging and transport. In May 2026 the temple's administration reported 16 medical centres and mobile first-aid units along the queue routes and at Narayanagiri Gardens, plus shaded shelters, cooling paint on queue lines and the Mada Streets, and drinking water points. The heat measures suggest where the risk lies, and in any crowd the first minutes of care fall to whoever happens to be nearby.
The second group is industrial. APIIC's electronics manufacturing cluster at Tirupati covers 113 acres, and a second cluster at Vikruthamala covers about 501 acres, according to the electronics cluster scheme's listing. Sri City, in Satyavedu and Varadaiahpalem mandals about 82 km from Tirupati airport, is a private industrial city with a multi-product SEZ, a domestic tariff zone, a free trade warehousing zone and an electronics cluster, and its official materials name food processing, automotive, engineering, textiles and electronics as strengths. Units of this kind run shifts of assemblers, machine operators and cleaners, often with a small safety team, and the injuries are familiar: cuts, burns, electric shock and falls.
Hospital capacity is large. SVIMS, run under the temple administration as a tertiary referral centre, reported 1,094 beds in its 2017-18 chronicle, and the Ruia Government General Hospital is described as the largest public hospital in Rayalaseema. But a hospital is minutes or hours from a queue line or a factory floor.
The Factories Act, 1948 sets the legal baseline for factories: at least one first-aid box per 150 workers, each looked after by someone holding a first-aid certificate that the State Government recognises, and an ambulance room once more than 500 people work there. We cannot say that an iMost certificate is recognised in Andhra Pradesh, and we could not find a readable list of recognised certificates for the state. Ask the factory inspectorate which certificates it accepts. Use this course to widen the number of people who can help, not to replace a recognised certificate.
Average daily footfall above 60,000 and peaks above one lakh, per Wikipedia; 16 medical centres reported in May 2026.
EMC-I covers 113 acres and EMC-II at Vikruthamala about 501 acres, both promoted by APIIC.
Private industrial city with a multi-product SEZ and electronics cluster, about 82 km from Tirupati airport.
A temple-run tertiary referral hospital with 1,094 beds in 2017-18, and the largest public hospital in Rayalaseema.
First-aid boxes at one per 150 workers, each in charge of a person certified under a scheme recognised by the State.
They are the first adults to reach a pilgrim who faints in the heat or falls on a ramp.
Guests arrive after long journeys, and reception and housekeeping staff often find the casualty first.
Drivers carry elderly passengers and children on a hill road, and they are alone with them when something goes wrong.
Production lines run for long hours, and units that rely on one trained person find the cover disappears on night shifts.
Campuses hold large numbers of young people, and wardens and security staff are the people on hand.
Receptionists, security and porters at large hospitals deal with distressed patients and relatives before clinical staff arrive.
Pick the course that matches the risk your staff face most often. Basic First Aid is a sound base for almost every group on this page. A lodge or large guest house also needs people trained to lead an evacuation, which is a different course, and kitchens need food handlers who understand hygiene and temperature. Our first aid certificate is an iMost certificate, and its validity is not set in our course listing, so ask your employer, auditor or customer how often they want it refreshed.
You run a lodge, hostel or factory floor and need staff who can lead an evacuation. One day, ₹15,000, iMost certificate, valid two years.
You serve meals to pilgrims, workers or students. Half a day, iMost certificate valid two years; ask our team for the fee.
Your staff need hands-on use of portable extinguishers. Half a day; ask our team for the fee.
Teaching is classroom-based with demonstrations, case studies and scenarios. A written test, a demonstration and oral questions decide the result, and a pass brings the iMost certificate.
CPR, using an automated external defibrillator and the recovery position. On a crowded queue line or a factory floor, the first two minutes decide what happens next, and this is the skill that matters most there.
Wounds, burns, fractures and sprains. Slips on wet steps, hot oil in a canteen and hand injuries on a machine line are the usual cases here.
Choking, heart attack, stroke and seizures. Elderly pilgrims on long queues and workers on long shifts are the people most likely to need these steps.
Heat-related illness, poisoning and other environmental conditions. Heat is the working hazard in Tirupati for much of the year, so this module is the most relevant.
First aid for children and elderly people, and for people in a mental health crisis. Pilgrim groups include all three, and the approach differs from that for a healthy adult.
Role-play and simulations. We can talk through the scenarios most relevant to your group when you enquire.
Buyers here include factory HR and safety teams, estate and cluster managers, lodge and hotel owners, transport operators and institutions that look after large groups. They usually want several people trained at once, so that a shift or a site is covered.

Kochi is about 650 to 680 km from Tirupati by road and 662 km by rail. Tirupati airport has no direct flight to Kochi, so the train is the usual choice, and a half-day course turns into a two-night round trip.
